The Spacehouse is a temple for the mind nestled beneath the Himalayan peaks. Whether it was a morning sauna overlooking snowcapped mountains, a cacao ceremony followed by a sensory walk in the forest, our experience there was extraordinary.

KANU GUPTA, Singapore

At Spacehouse Himalayas, we found more than just breathtaking views — we found emotional clarity, intellectual alignment and a deep creative spark rekindled through shared moments, meaningful conversations and the quiet magic of a thoughtfully curated pantry sourced from all over India. It was a return to self, community and inspiration.

No hotel could match the intimate and real stay at this boutique house and art space. I woke up to amazing view of the Himalayas, walked and lounged around the property and had some fantastic food. A dream stay that I can’t wait to go back.

Rocio Reyes Morales, U.S.A

Being here allowed me to slow down, reconnect and truly recharge. Whether it was listening to the birds and insects, immersing in nature, gazing at starry skies, or catching a glimpse of the majestic Himalayas; in the silence I found depth.

Spacehouse Himalayas is a quiet home on a hilltop in the presence of tall Himalayan peaks. For a part of the year, it serves as a private retreat for travelers who value thoughtful design, meaningful experiences and the rare luxury of stillness. Whether you come here to explore or simply to be, this is a home for those who seek beauty in their surroundings, in their time and in themselves.

Play with light

Designed by Swedish architect Inger Thede, the house is shaped by light. Large windows frame the Himalayan landscape, drawing the seasons and the sky into every room. The house becomes a companion to time, offering warmth, calm and expansiveness. Four thoughtfully designed bedrooms, forest-framed verandahs, a sauna, a study lounge, and a kitchen built for shared meals and long conversations invite you to tune into your inner space.

Touch nature

The interiors are quiet and grounding, made from Himalayan red cedar, golden slate, lime walls, linen and wool. At Spacehouse, nature is not an accent but a constant presence. Whether you are on sabbatical, on retreat or simply seeking stillness, you are welcome to live as the artists do, immersed in place and surrounded by intention. The calm invites you to slow down. To meditate, to linger in conversation, to explore the house’s collection of art, books and design. Or to walk gently into the forest along the wild and familiar paths that lead through the nearby villages.

Feel the seasons

Life at Spacehouse moves with the seasons. Each day is shaped to nourish the body, mind and senses. Heated floors and a solar-powered sauna keep the house comfortable through snow, rain and sun. A fire in the hearth and the scent of pine make long evenings feel warm and familiar. In summer, fruits and herbs from the land are preserved and shared with care, served as part of a simple, seasonal menu through the year prepared by our dedicated in-house team.

Gather around

Whether you come to find quiet, to spend time with others or simply to look at the stars, Spacehouse is designed to feel energised and inspired. The house sits within an acre of farm forest, surrounded by the mighty Himalayan mountains and nearby villages. If you want to dive deeper into the Himalayan landscapes and region our curated experiences include local architecture and forest walks, cacao ceremony, stargazing nights, cooking lessons and more. Everything you need for your time here is within walking distance. Your stay is also part of something larger. It helps support the residency and gives others the space to create.
